HINTON, Okla. (AP) -- The Great Plains Correctional Facility is still locked down after a fight last week that sent five inmates to the hospital.
Warden Sam Calbone says some of the prison units have reopened and he expects normal operations for the entire prison to begin Thursday.
Calbone said preliminary reports show the five inmates were injured after a fight between gangs broke out.
The inmates were treated at a local hospital and returned to the prison the same day.
About 800 inmates are housed at the medium-security prison, which is operated by Cornell Corrections in Houston. A spokeswoman for the company says between 25 to 30 inmates were involved in the fight.
