An Oklahoma Marine helicopter pilot who died in on a training mission in 1997 has a new memorial.

Captain Jerrell Boggan, of Haskell, went down in a Marine helicopter off the coast of North Carolina. His wife and others went to work to raise money for a memorial.

Andra Reventlow: "It's anyone and everyone who's ever lost their lives aboard an aircraft from New River."

It took nearly ten years and about $200,000, but finally on June 30th the Aviator Memorial was dedicated at a ceremony at the Marine Air Station in North Carolina.
