Some of the evacuees out of Lebanon, who found transport to Cyprus on a Norwegian ferry, are from Oklahoma City.
19 year old Kevin Joseph and his brother were studying abroad at the American University of Beirut. Kevin says he's just glad to be safe and headed home. "I left the country because I was hearing bombs all night. I couldn't even sleep, and ah, it was getting very dangerous."
Kevin's mom tells the News on 6; her boys are traveling to Greece, as they try to make their way back home to Oklahoma.
The two OU students had been in Beirut since June 30th.
