DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) _ Adam Hyzdu goes 4-for-4 and drives in a run to lead the Oklahoma RedHawks to a 3-to-1 win in the first game of their baseball series with Iowa.
Anthony Webster led off the top of the third Monday night with his second home run of the season, and Hyzdu added a run-scoring single later in the inning to put Oklahoma ahead 2-nothing.
The RedHawks led 3-nothing when Adam Morrissey's single scored Jamie Burke, who had doubled to lead off the fourth.
Iowa scored its only run in the bottom of the fourth, as an infield single by Luis Montanez scored Casey McGehee.
Reliever Nick Masset combined with three other Oklahoma pitchers to allow only seven hits, all singles. Masset struck out six batters in 2-and-two-thirds innings, and the RedHawks recorded 12 strikeouts. Josh Rupe picked up his first save.
Starter Jerome Williams allowed seven hits in five innings for Iowa.
