A Tulsa man with a pattern of violence faces new problems.

Monte Shelton has been arrested after his girlfriend accused him of kidnapping and raping her. Since then, Tulsa Police have learned several women have accused him of violent crimes, but the cases were dismissed when the women failed to show up to testify.

Tulsa Police say until someone has experienced fear like that, it's hard to understand its power. Tulsa Police Sgt. Gary Stansill: "that fear is very compelling to say I don't want anything like to happen again and if I leave it alone, it may not happen to me again."

Two of the women have now decided to come forward and press charges for those previous cases.
