OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A company run by former Governor David Walters is planning a 30-day project to build a power plant in Pakistan.

Walters says his Walters Power International will work with Florida-based ALSTOM Power Rentals to build a 100 megawatt natural gas-fired power plant.

The two companies were partners on a similar project in Mexico two years ago.

Walters says Pakistan is starving for energy and the government is using rolling blackouts to deal with power supply problems.
