A convicted sex offender is behind bars after reports he exposed himself in the parking lot of the Tulsaâ€™s First Baptist Church.

34-year-old Leonard Lamar Atkinson was jailed on a complaint of failing to register as a sex offender. He told police he's homeless. Witnesses say Atkinson exposed himself twice in the parking lot at 400 South Detroit, just as church members were leaving the morning service. Atkinson denies it.

He's been convicted in the past. His criminal record includes two convictions for indecent exposure, two drug convictions and another for breaking into a building.

A charge for failing to register as a sex offender was filed last week. Atkinson is in jail on $5,000 bond.
