Showers and thunderstorms are in Oklahoma's weekend forecast.
The National Weather Service said high pressure will continue to dominate the state's weather on Saturday. Skies will be partly cloudy with mainly high level clouds. High temperatures will be in the mid and upper 80s in the north and near 90 elsewhere.
The surface high pressure system will move away by Sunday, allowing southerly winds to return to the state. Moisture and humidity levels will rise to more seasonable levels.
Weak low pressure areas will move across the state early next week bringing higher chances of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.
Skies will be partly cloudy across the state Saturday night and showers are likely in northern Oklahoma. Lows will be in the 60s and 70s.
Sunday will be mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely in the north. Highs will be in the upper 80s to mid 90s. Lows Sunday night will be in the 60s and 70s.
Skies will be mostly cloudy on Monday with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the 80s and 90s with lows in the 60s and 70s.
Tuesday will be mostly cloudy. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms in eastern Oklahoma. Highs will be in the 80s and 90s with lows in the upper 60s to mid 70s.
More showers are likely in the east on Wednesday. Skies will be partly cloudy with highs in the 90s and lows in the 70s.
