TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Mike McCoy's RBI turned out to be the winning run in Springfield's 2-to-1 victory over the Tulsa Drillers in a Texas League game.
The Cardinal already had a 1-to-0 lead after Shaun Boyd scored on a wild pitch in the first inning Thursday night. Then McCoy tripled to right field, scoring Boyd in the third inning.
McCoy finished 2-for-4 and Boyd was 1-for-4.
The only score for Tulsa came in the fourth inning when Jordan Czarniecki doubled in Ian Stewart.
