Many Convicted Tulsa Sex Offenders May Have To Move

Tulsa Police are putting sex offenders on notice. <br/><br/>They may have to move out of their homes, because of a newly enacted law. It creates a 300 foot safety zone around parks, playgrounds and daycares.

Tulsa Police are putting sex offenders on notice.

They may have to move out of their homes, because of a newly enacted law. It creates a 300 foot safety zone around parks, playgrounds and daycares.

Tulsa Police say there's a problem with the law. It did not grandfather in people who were convicted before the law was passed, so it could affect as many as 100 people. Police say another problem with the law is it lumps all sex offenders into one category.

Tulsa Police Sgt John Adams: "We treat all sex offenders the same. In reality, they're not the same. Some are much more dangerous than others. Some require more of our attention than they get."

Police fear sex offenders will react to the new strict laws by refusing to register.
