A historic section of Tulsa took a political step forward over the weekend.

The inaugural Greenwood Political Action Forum at 46th and North Lewis gave north Tulsa residents the opportunity to interact with current and potential elected officials.

The bi-partisan event also allowed those officials to hear from the people they represent.

Organizers hope the forum will inform, inspire and empower ordinary citizens to action.
