OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The multimillion dollar gaming industry has been good to some Oklahoma tribes, and those tribes say the revenue primarily has gone to help not only their members but local communities and the state.

The Oklahoma Office of State Finance says that of state Indian tribes who have gaming facilities, 29 have signed compacts, or gaming agreements, with the state.

As a result, the state has received more than $5.4-million in revenue from the tribes between January and April, the latest month the figures were available.

The five tribes paying the most to the state in monthly allocations during that period were the Chickasaw Nation, the Cherokee Nation, the Choctaw Nation, the Creek Nation and the Cheyenne-Arapaho tribe.
