TULSA, Okla. (AP) Billy Butler had three RBI's to help lead Wichita to a 9-to-6 victory over Tulsa in Texas League baseball.
The Wranglers (31-33) were trailing 2-to-1 in the top of the third inning last night when run-scoring singles by Mitch Maier and Alex Gordon tied the game. Butler was tagged out at first base, but his single scored Matt Tupman and Maier. Another run extended Wichita's advantage to 6-2.
The Wranglers got three more runs in the fifth before Tulsa cut the advantage to 9-to-4 on Joe Koshansky's home run in the bottom of the sixth.
RBI's by Jordan Gaetti and Koshansky gave the Drillers (38-26) two more runs in the ninth but the rally fell short.
