OKLHAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A dispute between Cox Communications and an electric utility over use of the utilities power poles will cost some eastern Oklahomans their cable service.
Cox is discontinuing service on Saturday to 152 cable customers in Roland and Muldrow.
The dispute is over how much cox pays to Cookson Hills Electric Cooperative for its cable wire attachments to the utility company's power poles.
The electric co-op wants to raise the rates for the use of each pole from the current $5 a year to $14 a year.
Cox has about 500,000 customers statewide, most in the Oklahoma City and Tulsa metro areas.
