Oklahoma Construction Company President, Three Employees Indicted

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The president of an Onapa construction company and three of his employees are indicted on charges they conspired to use barred material in Oklahoma road projects.

The multi-county grand jury indictment unsealed Thursday in McIntosh County District Court named George Paul Glover, Wade Bennett Hopkins, Gary Wayne Carter and Jarod Neil Smith on one count each of conspiracy against the state.

Glover -- president of Glover Construction and Youngman Rock Incorporated -- was indicted in December on one count of conspiracy against the state and two counts of witness intimidation.

According to the latest indictment, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation notified Glover that stone and rock from one of his quarries was unsuitable for road and highway construction.

The state attorney general's office alleges that the company provided ODOT with written notice that it would use material from another company for the work but secretly used the banned material.

The projects were US Highway 64 in Muskogee County, Oklahoma Highway 9 in Haskell County and US 59 in LeFlore County.
