The search for a new Tulsa Public Schools superintendent has been narrowed down to two candidates. Over the weekend, the Tulsa School Board announced they've shortened the list down to two finalists for the job.

Dr. Julia Earl from Nashua, New Hampshire or Dr. Michael Zolkoski from Brownsville, Texas will be Tulsa Public Schools' next superintendent. Board president Matt Livingood called both at home. He says they were pleased with the news.

Matt Livingood: "I think they're great choices and they give us a lot to talk about. I think they will add to the continued success we have in Tulsa and I'm looking forward to continuing these conversations."

And the school board's choices match up with how you voted in the News on 6's online poll.

378 people voted, Zolkoski led the pack with almost 52 percent of the vote. Earl came in second with about 26 percent.
