Five Oklahoma junior high school students may face charges after bringing loaded BB guns to school.
Guymon Police say the students are between the ages of 13 and 17. They were caught playing with the guns in two separate incidents at a junior high school.
In the first incident, a janitor called police when he saw a student hand a BB gun to his friend. Just hours later, 3 more students were caught with guns.
School officials say even though BB guns are considered toys, they pose a safety issue. Guymon Schools superintendent Dr. Bob Neel: "toys that look like real guns should not be purchased by children, there's always that possibility that someone will mistake it and harm a child.â€
All five students have been expelled. The cases are now being handled by the District Attorney.
