WOODWARD, Okla. (AP) -- Authorities plan to begin a tedious hand-search Monday at a Woodward County landfill for the body of a 6-year-old boy who disappeared in 2002.
Woodward County Undersheriff Monty Clem says searchers are close to a level of debris from the time when Logan Tucker disappeared.
Authorities dug their first test holes at the landfill on April 3rd.
Clem says the search for the boy's body was prompted by a tip from a sanitation worker who recalled picking up a suitcase in 2002 across the street from where Logan's mother lived at the time.
The boy's mother -- Katherine Pollard -- was arrested February 23rd and has been charged with first-degree murder in his death.
