Summer's almost here and that means lots of kids will head to the pool.
Tulsa's Safe Kids Coalition wants to make sure children stay safe in the water. As part of Safe Kids Week, they held a pool safety seminar Thursday.
The Safe Kids Coalition says drowning is the second leading cause of accidental death in kids under 14. Safe Kids’ Jana Ketchel: "it's a growing problem not only nation wide but here in Oklahoma so we are determined to do something about that by education, information and different activities we have planned during safe kids week."
Parents received tips and tools to keep their kids safe near water. To find out more, check out the www.safekids.org website.
