Volunteers got out their hammers and put on thier work boots Saturday in Tulsa.
Rebuilding Tulsa Together helped 11 elderly or disabled Tulsans with home repairs Saturday afternoon. They put on a new roof, painted walls and put in hand rails for Julia Slevidge. She says it's work she couldn't do and she's grateful for the goup's work.
Homeowner Julia Selvidge: "it is god's blessing. it is. I've heard of people recieving things like this.. but this is the first time i have ever."
Saturday was a national work day for groups like this one but Rebuilding Tulsa Together also works all year long to help the elderly and disabled with repairs.
