Traffic along I-244 is moving smoothly again after an early Friday morning accident near Mingo.

Traffic slowed to a crawl around 6:30 AM Friday after a westbound driver lost control, crossed the median and hit a pickup truck head on.

The driver ran off. She was spotted in a ditch 15 minutes later and was taken into custody. She suffered some injuries and received treatment. The driver of the pick-up was not hurt.
