SHAWNEE, Okla. (AP) -- Shawnee police want to talk to the driver of a white box van who purchased $800 worth of diesel fuel.

According to dispatch shift supervisor Angie Lynam, the motorist bought the fuel in increments of $100 using five credit cards Wednesday.

Authorities say the man made eight trips to the Love's Country Store on Kickapoo Road between 2 PM and 3 PM, and was seen putting fuel in large black drums in the back of the van.

The driver is described as a white male who is unclean, thought to be in his 60s and with thick facial hair.

Police aren't sure of the man's intentions, but want to speak with him about the purchases.

Officers are tracking the credit cards.
