It's time again for everyone's favorite summer show - Gimme The Mike!

The News on 6 put out a call for talented Oklahomans, and lots of folks jumped at the chance to be a star. That's just an example of some of the nearly 300 people who showed up at Tulsa's Promenade Mall this weekend to audition for "Gimme The Mike".

Judges will now view the tapes and narrow the field to 20 finalists. Those finalists will compete in semi-final rounds at the Cain's Ballroom.

We'll announce their names May 5th, on "6 in the Morning."

Weekly winners will compete for a slot in the hour-long live finale, all of which will be shown on Channel 6.
