Some Tulsa students got a unique lesson in foreign language Tuesday. Tulsa's Booker T Washington High School held chariot races.
The races began five years ago as a teaching lesson for Latin students. Now, the races are open to all foreign language students at the school.
The students form teams and build their own chariots on their own time. Latin teacher Heather Bierly: "they learn how to facilitate and get their group to work and I teach them that one person doesn't do it all. They really work great together and its alot of fun and they keep wanting to do it every year."
Organizors say the races combine intelligence, wit and athleticism.
