If you've driven US Highway 169 in Tulsa lately, you've probably noticed a difference.
The orange construction barrels are gone. That's because the multi-million dollar highway expansion project wrapped up a couple of weeks ago. Tulsa city leaders celebrated the completion of the project Friday with a special ceremony and ribbon cutting.
State representative Mark Liotta of Tulsa: "110,000 vehicles a day now have access to two new lanes of travel, improved ramps, wider shoulders and improved bridges."
The expansion project started more than a decade ago and cost taxpayers $60-million.
