OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Governor Brad Henry is reminding Oklahomans of a looming deadline to request federal assistance for those impacted by wildfires in the past few months.
The deadline to ask for aid from the Federal Emergency Management Agency is today.
Approximately 800 Oklahomans have already applied. Benefits can include temporary housing and needs assistance grants.
Henry says Oklahomans should not try to judge whether they are eligible for the assistance. Instead, he says they should apply and let FEMA make that determination.
