MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) -- A federal grand jury in Muskogee indicted the former head of the McCurtain County Educational Cooperative on four embezzlement charges.
Deb Victor resigned in February 2005 in the wake of a state audit that found questionable travel expenses.
A state audit revealed more than $475,000 in ineligible pay was given to Victor and his staff.
Auditors say Victor charged his co-op nearly $18,000 for 31 business trips in which he participated in rodeo events.
He faces up to five years in prison and up to a $250,000 fine per count.
