OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ An estimated 28,400 college students are expected to graduate during the 2005-2006 academic year in Oklahoma, according to a survey by the Oklahoma Regents for Higher Education.
More than half of those graduates, an estimated 16,000, will earn a bachelor's degree, according to the survey of colleges and universities in the state.
``This is an exciting time for the thousands of Oklahoma college graduates who have achieved their educational goals and are now ready to make an impact throughout our state,'' said Chancellor Paul G. Risser.
An estimated 7,000 students will earn an associate degree while about 4,300 are to earn a master's degree.
About 400 are expected to earn a doctorate and 800 others will receive professional degrees in areas such as law and medicine.
