A former Tulsa middle school teacher will not face charges in connection with an altercation with a student.

Prosecutors say they have decide not to file charges against Mark French, based on the information Tulsa Police have given them. A 7th-grade student in French's music class at Clinton Middle School says he assaulted her in February.

The Tulsa School board fired French last month.

The girl was hospitalized for an apparent skull fracture and her family has filed a claim against the school district.
