OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Authorities have identified a woman killed trying to cross Interstate 44 in Oklahoma City as 38-year-old Estelle Hockings of Lac Du Flambeau, Wisconsin.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Kera Philippi says Hockings was trying to cross the interstate near Pennsylvania Avenue when she was hit by a tractor-trailer about 5:30 p-m yesterday. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The patrol report says Hockings was dragged about 200 feet from the point of impact and then thrown an additional 80 feet after the truck came to a stop.
