NORMAN, Okla. (AP) Officials temporarily suspend their search of Lake Thunderbird that started with the discovery of a human foot on the shoreline last week.

Captain Doug Blaine says the cold water temperature forced officials to halt the search.

Blaine says a team of five divers started searching the lake Saturday morning.

Maintenance workers discovered the severed foot -- still inside a muddy running shoe -- last week and alerted local law enforcement agencies.
