VERDIGRIS, Okla. (AP) _ A 33-year-old Arkansas man drowned in the Verdigris River early this morning after falling from a tugboat in Rogers County.

The Oklahoma Lake Patrol says Patrick Riddle of Cotton Plant, Arkansas, fell from the boat about 1am this morning. His body was recovered about an hour later.

Riddle was working on a tugboat that had stopped about midnight for a dinner break. The patrol says Riddle went to untie the lines and didn't return.
