McAlester Police arrested 17 illegal immigrants during a traffic stop along US Highway 69 Wednesday.

Authorities say the Hispanic immigrants were hidden under blankets in the truck's bed or crammed into the cab. The truck was headed to Tennessee.

This is the second time in three weeks a vehicle has been stopped in the McAlester area carrying illegal immigrants.
