The severe weather forced the closure of an eastern Oklahoma turnpike late Sunday night.
The Cherokee Turnpike which heads east to Arkansas was shutdown when a power line snapped. The line crossed all lanes of traffic on the highway.
Cars on the turnpike took a beating in the storms as well as hail pounded motorists. One driver we talked to said he had to dodge baseball sized hail.
