OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- An exotic beach is not the destination for all Oklahoma college students during spring break.
Some are heading to New Orleans to help with the continuing clean up following Hurricane Katrina.
Oklahoma State freshman Jaclyn Cosgrove of Arpelar says she'd rather spend her time doing this because she loves helping people and volunteering.
Cosgrove and about 30 other OSU students will travel with the Campus Crusade for Christ and work in residential areas of New Orleans this week.
And students from Northern Oklahoma College will travel with Baptist Collegiate Ministries to the New Orleans suburb of Metarie to repair homes and provide meals.
And about 18 students at Southwestern Oklahoma State University will go to New Orleans with the Church of Christ to help strip flood-damaged homes.
