OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Governor Brad Henry appoints Gordon Allen as associate district judge for Hughes County in the 22nd Judicial District.

The 55 year-old Allen has been municipal judge in Holdenville for 17 years.

Allen was chosen from a list of three candidates submitted by the Judicial Nominating Commission.

He received his law degree the University of Oklahoma in 1976.
