OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Governor Brad Henry Friday named Rogers County Associate District Judge Dwayne Steidly as the new district judge in the 12th judicial district in northeastern Oklahoma.

Steidly is a former state representative. He attended Claremore Junior College before earning a bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University and his law degree from the University of Tulsa.

Steidly was selected from a list of potential nominees selected by the Oklahoma Judicial Nominating Commission.
