A federal sex-discrimination lawsuit against the Jay School District, its administrators and a Jay church is being settled.

The two women accused the school and administrators of failing to investigate or report allegations of sexual misconduct by former bus driver Will Stroud. The lawsuit also accused members of Southside Church of Christ of spreading false rumors about the girls.

Stroud pleaded guilty a year ago to second-degree rape and lewd molestation charges. He was given suspended sentences but is enrolled in a sex offender program.
