Campaign 2008 gets underway in Oklahoma with "Super Tuesday" next month. That is when more than 20 states, including Oklahoma cast their vote in a presidential primary. Today is the deadline to register to vote for that presidential primary election.
If you need to register or make a change in your current registration, you will need to visit your local county election board office, library, post office or tag agency by close of business on Friday. If you are mailing in your form, it needs to be postmarked by Friday.
To register, you need to have your address, party affiliation, social security number and drivers license. Remember, Oklahoma has a 'closed primary system,' which means you need to vote for a candidate in your registered party.
Again, Super Tuesday is February 5.
