There is a new way to save on prescription drugs in Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Drug Card program launched a web site Tuesday where Oklahomans can visit and print out a card. That card will save up to 75 % on prescriptions at more than 200 pharmacies in Oklahoma and 50,000 pharmacies across the nation.
There are no restrictions to membership, no income limits, no age limit, and no applications to fill out. Officials say state residents who have prescription coverage can use this program for non-formulary or non-covered drugs.
"This program can help every resident of Oklahoma, help many people so desperately need. We are looking for support from hospitals, doctors' offices and clinics to create public awareness for the program and to help distribute cards to their patients," said Joe Willard, Oklahoma Drug Card Program Director. "We are also encouraging employers to offer the Oklahoma Drug Card program to their employees."
The free prescription card is available online for everyone in Oklahoma by going to www.oklahomadrugcard.com and printing a card. The card is pre-activated and can be used at any participating pharmacy.
