More than a month after an Oklahoma City businessman proposed a $62 million donation to ORU, there is still no decision from the school on whether or not to accept it. The money was part of $70 million overall offered by businessman Mart Green to the debt-ridden school.
However, there are strings attached. Green wants power sharing and has asked for at least two seats for family members on the board of regents.
Some critics of the university anticipate the school will reject the offer and say it could lead to a faculty lawsuit.
ORU officials will discuss the offer again early next week.
