3 lb. pork top loin roast, trimmed of all visible fat, cut to fit into slow-cooker Vegetable oil cooking spray 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper 1 large onion, sliced 4 1/2 C. root beer, divided use 1 T. garlic powder 1 bottle (12 oz) chili sauce 2 tsp. hot pepper sauce 12 reduced calorie hamburger buns
Directions:
Sprinkle pork with salt and pepper. Spray a large skillet with vegetable oil cooking spray. Brown pork pieces. Place pork in slow cooker; add onion, 1 1/2 C. root beer and garlic. Cover and cook 8-10 hours on low or 4-5 hours on high. Meanwhile in a medium saucepan combine 3 cups root beer and chili sauce. Bring to a boil; boil gently about 30 minutes or until mixture is reduced to approximately 2 1/2 cups, sitrring occasionally. Add hot pepper sauce. Shred meat using 2 rofks. Serve meat and onion mixture on buns with sauce.
