1 c. shortening3/4 c. dark brown sugar 3/4 c. granulated sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. hot water 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 c. chocolate chips 2 c. instant oatmeal 3/4 c. chopped pecans
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cream together the shortening and sugars. Add the eggs, hot water and vanilla; mix well. Sift in the flour, baking soda and salt. Add all remaining ingredients; mix until well combined.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet. Bake about 10 minutes, cool on wire rack.
