With families spending more and more time together, many are looking for ways to keep each other entertained! A Jenks family is taking dressing up for dinner to a whole new level.

"You know there are a lot of things that feel out of control, but these dinners are something fun that we can control and give us a lot of joy and other people as well," said Megan Henderson.

The Henderson family is going all out for their evening dinners, planning a theme and dressing up.

"I think you just kind sit down for maybe like 15 minutes and think what would be funny, obviously what we can do with what we have. And what would get a response out of our friends,” Aidan Henderson said.

The response has been amazing. Friends are liking, commenting, and sharing pictures on Facebook of the Hendersons’ comical dress-up dinners. They have done everything from Tiger King to Star Wars themed meals, complete with Yoda quac, Ewok cheeseball, Han burgers and Death Star pizza.

"My favorite part about all of this is all the people that keep saying 'I look forward to this every day. I can't wait to see what you do every day.' I feel like we're kinda brightening things up for people and I love that everybody is excited to see what we're doing," said Cathleen Henderson.

And finding something to smile about right now is important. Aidan is a senior at Jenks and Megan is graduating from Benediction College in Kansas.

"Both kids have had so many disappointments and cancelations and we just really wanted, instead of falling into the rut of TV and Netflix and video games and doing nothing. Just wanted to make this last time before they both leave, have it be memorable. So, that has been a big drive in this; and cheer them up to from a lot of the disappointment that they're going through," Cathleen said.
