1 Dead After Building Fire, Tulsa Firefighters Say

Tulsa firefighters said one person is dead after a fire at a former motel near 11th Street and Garnett on Tuesday morning.

This happened at the old Brookshire motel; the building had been previously condemned.

According to officials, the building was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived at the scene.

Westbound 11th Street near Garnett is currently closed.
