RITZ Cheese Crackers Recalled Due To Mislabeling, Containing Peanut Butter

Mondelēz Global LLC has voluntary recalled some RITZ Cheese Cracker Sandwiches Family Size because some of the cracker sandwiches are actually the peanut butter variety, according to a news release.

The company said the outer packaging indicates that the product is the cheese variety, while some individually wrapped items are peanut butter.

The company also stated that the individually wrapped sandwiches are correctly labeled as RITZ Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches.

The release stated the recall is limited to the RITZ Cheeses Cracker Shandwiches Family Size (21.6 oz carton), and those products have Best When Used By Dates of:

  1. 18 SEP 20
  2. 20 SEP 20
  3. 28 SEP 20
  4. 30SEP 20
  5. 01 OCT 20
  6. 02 OCT 20

The crackers were available nationwide.

The company said there have been no reports of injury or illness related to this product so far and are issuing the recall as a precaution.

They said anyone who has this product should discard it.

The company said  "no other RITZ products, Mondelēz Global LLC products nor any other geographies outside the U.S. are included in or affected by this recall."
