Tulsa Police Arrest Man After Gas Station Robbed

Tulsa Police said a man is in jail after robbing a gas station and assaulting two people.

Police arrested Bennie Burton III on a number of complaints, including robbery and assault.

Police said this started after burton jumped the counter at a gas station near Admiral and Memorial around 9 p.m. Tuesday night and took money form the register.

Officers said he then assaulted a clerk and customer.

Police saw Burton's car near 2nd and Memorial, and then a chase started.

Police said he crashed near 15th Street and Memorial, and then got out of the car and ran.

A K-9 officer tried stopping him, but police said Burton tried to fight off the K-9 by pulling the dog's collar back in an attempt to choke him.

Police then tased Burton and took him into custody.
