OU and OSU head football coaches Lincoln Riley and Mike Gundy have issued statements about protests and their thoughts on the incident involving George Floyd and former Minnesota police officer Derek Chauvin.

OU and OSU head football coaches Lincoln Riley and Mike Gundy have issued statements on the incident involving George Floyd and former Minnesota police officer Derek Chauvin.

Both coaches took to Twitter to comment on how this issue has effected them and promised to help facilitate change.

Riley said in part that:

"We have a long ways to go as a society- I am committed to being part of that change."
