Tulsa City Councilors plan to draft a resolution on Wednesday petitioning Governor Stitt to issue an emergency statewide moratorium on eviction actions across the state.

Councilors say the pandemic has created hardships on Oklahoma families and many are now facing housing insecurities. They are asking the governor to protect vulnerable Oklahomans who were not previously covered by the moratorium issued in the CARES Act.

This resolution will be discussed during the city council's 10:30 meeting and their regular meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m at city hall.
