Troopers Report Delayed Fatality in Seminole County Crash

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has identified a woman who died in a three-vehicle wreck in Seminole County April 28.

OHP said Ashley Ellis of Wetumka was recently pronounced dead on May 7, 2020. The collision occurred just east of Wewoka when one vehicle was stopped for traffic. Ellis was pinned in her vehicle as it was struck from behind from a third car.The driver of the third car was also pinned until the Wewoka Fire Department freed both passengers.

Following the crash, Ellis, 21, was transported to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where she remained in critical condition where troopers say she died on Sunday.
